How to win more B2B buyers in the UAE
What procurement teams in the UAE look for in a supplier, and the habits that turn one order into a long relationship.

In short
Suppliers win more B2B buyers in the UAE by being easy to find where buyers source (supplier networks, trade shows, chambers and search), easy to check (trade licence, TRN and certificates ready to send), quick and complete when an RFQ arrives, and reliable after the order: acknowledging purchase orders, delivering on time and fixing problems fast. Response rate and on-time delivery are what buyers remember, and on networks such as Korrway they decide your tier.
How buyers choose suppliers
Procurement teams are judged on getting the right goods on time, at a fair price, without trouble. So when they choose suppliers, they look for:
- Reliability: on-time, complete deliveries of the agreed quality.
- Responsiveness: quick, clear answers and quotes.
- Price: competitive, transparent and stable.
- Compliance: a valid licence, VAT registration and the right certificates, so the purchase passes finance and audit.
- Low effort: easy to order from, and easy to fix problems with.
Price is only one item on that list. A supplier who costs a little more but never causes a problem is usually the one a busy buyer calls first.
Get found
- Supplier networks. Join networks where buyers search for suppliers by category and delivery area, and fill in your profile properly: clear categories, every country or emirate you deliver to, and your city. Buyers filter on these.
- Trade shows. Exhibit at, or walk, the shows your buyers attend, such as Gulfood for food and beverage, Big 5 Global for construction, and INDEX and The Hotel Show for interiors and hospitality.
- Search. Keep a Google Business Profile with your real address and categories, and a simple website that lists what you supply and where you deliver.
- LinkedIn. Connect with procurement and purchasing managers in your sector and share useful updates, not only offers.
- Referrals. Ask happy customers to introduce you to their peers. In the UAE, a lot of business travels by recommendation.
Be easy to check
Before a buyer can order from you, someone will check your documents. Keep them ready in one folder: trade licence, VAT registration certificate, bank letter, company profile and the certificates for your category. Sending them the same day you are asked puts you ahead of many competitors. The full list is in supplier registration in the UAE.
Respond fast and completely
Many RFQs are decided by who replied properly. Buyers notice suppliers who:
- Reply to every invitation, even to say they cannot supply this time.
- Quote every line in the format asked, with delivery and lead time.
- Flag lines they cannot supply instead of leaving them blank.
- Submit before the deadline, not in the last minutes.
See how to respond to an RFQ for a step-by-step guide.
Price to win, not to lose
Racing to the lowest price rarely builds a business. Know your full cost for each line, including delivery and payment terms, and quote a price you can hold. Make your quote easy to compare: show delivery and other charges separately, state VAT clearly, and say how long the price is valid. If a buyer asks for a better price, offer value as well as discount: faster delivery, longer credit, or a better price for a larger volume.
Deliver, then communicate
- Acknowledge every purchase order the day it arrives, and confirm the delivery date.
- Tell the buyer about a delay before they notice it, with a new date.
- Deliver complete orders, with paperwork that matches the PO number and lines.
- Fix problems quickly and without argument. How you handle the first problem decides whether there is a second order.
Build a reputation
Every order is evidence for the next one. Ask satisfied buyers to rate you where they can, keep your response rate high, and track your own on-time delivery. When you lose an RFQ, ask for one line of feedback: price, lead time or something else. Buyers respect suppliers who want to improve.
Selling to multi-branch groups
Restaurant groups, retail chains and hotel operators buy repeatedly and in volume. They value suppliers who can deliver the same product to every branch on a schedule, invoice each branch correctly, hold stock for repeat orders, and keep the buyer’s designs and artwork confidential. If you do those things well, say so in your profile and in your quotes.
Korrway for Suppliers
Korrway for Suppliers is a free supplier network for suppliers in the UAE, the GCC and beyond. Every RFQ you are invited to, from every Korrway buyer, lands in one list with its deadline, alerts tell you about new invitations, counter-offers and awards, and you quote line by line from your desk or your phone. You can chat with buyers on the record and get verified once your trade licence and TRN are checked. Your tier, from Bronze to Platinum, is earned from your response rate, on-time delivery, awards and ratings, and buyers see it next to your name. Other suppliers never see your prices.
Questions
How do I get my first corporate client in the UAE?
Pick a narrow category you can deliver reliably, prepare your trade licence, TRN and a short company profile, and go where buyers look: supplier networks, sector trade shows and referrals from existing customers. Offer a small trial order. Corporate buyers rarely move everything at once; they test a new supplier on one line first.
How do I become a supplier to hotels and restaurants in Dubai?
Hospitality and food groups buy through procurement teams or purchasing managers who run RFQs. Make sure your licence covers the activity, hold food safety or quality certificates where relevant, show you can deliver to every outlet on schedule, and get onto the supplier lists and networks they use. Answer every invitation, even when you cannot supply, so you stay on the list.
Do I need to be VAT registered to supply businesses?
VAT registration is mandatory once your taxable supplies pass AED 375,000 a year, and voluntary from AED 187,500. If you are not registered, you can still supply businesses, but you must not charge VAT. Some buyers prefer registered suppliers because they can recover the VAT.
Is it free to join Korrway as a supplier?
Yes. Receiving RFQs, quoting, chat, orders and your tier are free, with no listing fee and no commission on what you win.
How do supplier tiers work on Korrway?
Every supplier starts at Bronze. Silver, Gold and Platinum are earned from your record on Korrway: invitations, response rate, on-time delivery, awards and buyer ratings, with verification required for Gold and above. Tiers cannot be bought.
